Executive Operator · Entrepreneur · Builder

Built the
company. Then
built the tools.

Joshua Beal spent a decade turning door-to-door sales into a multimillion-dollar contracting company — then taught himself to build the AI systems that run one. Revenue, people, and product, under one operator — 120+ people managed, and counting.

The Long Version

Nobody handed him a territory.

01 — THE FIRST DEAL

At fifteen, Joshua saved $500, talked a friend's parents into selling him a Jeep Cherokee worth three times that, and — because paying a mechanic wasn't an option — taught himself to fix it. Six weeks and about $100 in parts later, he sold it for $2,000.

He didn't spend the profit. He reinvested it, then did the deal again. And again — more than sixty times before he turned eighteen, working up to a truck worth $18,000.

02 — THE KNOCK

That same instinct — find the opportunity, negotiate hard, do the work yourself — carried him into door-to-door sales. At Charter Communications he closed 46 deals in his first month, a rookie record for his office, and ranked top 2–3 out of roughly fifty reps almost every month after.

"If I couldn't afford to pay someone to solve the problem, I learned how to solve it myself."

03 — THE COMPANY

In 2019 he co-founded Texas HomePro Roofing & Remodeling with his father, starting the same way he always had — knocking doors. Within about three and a half years, the company was doing $6 million a year. He ran sales, marketing, hiring, production, and technology personally — closing roofs himself while building the systems, from Google Ads to CRM automation, that let the business scale past a one-man operation.

By the time he stepped away in early 2026, Joshua had been responsible for the sale and completion of 3,000+ roofing projects, had managed well over 120 people across his career, and at the peak was directing roughly 40 people a day.

04 — THE PROJECTS

The company was never only roofs. Texas HomePro completed many government remodeling contracts and a long run of multi-six-figure projects — full home additions, commercial and residential remodels — each one carrying contracts, estimates, subcontractors, schedules, inspections, and a customer who expected it done right.

05 — THE TOOLS

The same year, he started teaching himself AI-assisted development the way he'd once taught himself brakes and transmissions — because the tools he needed to run a service business well didn't exist yet at a price point that made sense. Now he builds them: AI receptionists, automated lead follow-up, and full software products, under HomePro Defender and HomePro Brand Builder.

Career Arc

Fourteen years, one operating pattern.

Age 15 – 18

Teenage entrepreneur

Turned a $500 Jeep Cherokee into a $2,000 sale in six weeks by teaching himself to repair it, then reinvested and repeated the cycle more than sixty times before turning eighteen — working up to an $18,000 Ford F-350 diesel. Negotiation, asset valuation, margin awareness, and reinvestment discipline were learned here, years before any job title.

c. 2015

Roofing crew, canvasser, then sales representative

Champion Restoration and Chateau Roofing & Remodeling. Started on the roof — personally participating in installations — then moved to cold-knock canvassing, inspections, estimating, and closing residential roofing work. This is where the home-services expertise and the credibility with field crews began.

c. 2 years · Dayton, Ohio

Field sales leader — IGS Energy / Platinum Advertising

Door-to-door energy sales, then real management responsibility at an unusually young age — personally responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and managing roughly a dozen representatives, including field leadership, sales coaching, performance management, and team accountability.

c. 2017 – 2020

Direct sales representative — Charter Communications

Recorded 46 sales in his first month, understood to be the office's rookie record, and ranked top 2–3 out of roughly fifty representatives almost every month — earning approximately twenty sales and performance awards along the way. Helped train incoming representatives, was one of the youngest reps in the organization, and was seriously considered for a Sales Manager role over about fifteen people before choosing to walk away and start his own company in Texas.

2019 – Early 2026

Co-Founder & Executive Operator — Texas HomePro Roofing & Remodeling

Co-founded with his father, started by knocking doors, and reached $6 million a year within about three and a half years. Owned sales, marketing, advertising, recruiting, hiring and terminations, training, project and production management, estimating, contracts, subcontractor relationships, scheduling, customer disputes, technology, and cash flow — directing roughly 40 people per day at the peak. Completed numerous government remodeling contracts and many multi-six-figure projects, including full home additions.

2026 – Present

Founder — HomePro Defender & HomePro Brand Builder

Building AI-enabled software and automation for the same industry he came up in: an AI-driven business and legal-process workflow platform for Texas contractors, and an ecosystem of AI receptionists, email agents, review systems, CRM automation, and customer-acquisition tools. Designed and built this site the same way.

Skill Set

One operator. Eight disciplines.

Most executives are strong in one lane. Joshua's value is that he has personally done the work in every lane a service business depends on — and can still do it today.

01 / LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE

Building and running teams

A manager of well over 120 people across his career — hired, managed, or terminated personally — with roughly 40 people under his direction on a given day at the peak, spanning sales, production, project management, administration, and field operations. Roughly 40–50 employees and managers personally trained, several developed into Project Manager and Production Manager roles. He designed, implemented, trained, and enforced the company's SOPs, and created the hiring documentation, employment contracts, onboarding processes, training processes and timelines, and the KPIs the team ran on — developed, produced, and enforced — and handled terminations himself when standards weren't met.

SOPs · Hiring documentation · Contracts · Onboarding · Training timelines · KPI development & enforcement · Terminations
02 / SALES & CLOSING

Revenue, personally generated

$30M+ in career revenue generated or directly influenced. Responsible for the sale and completion of 3,000+ residential roofing projects. A one-call closer built on thousands of real customer conversations — reading motivation, building trust fast, handling objections, asking for the business, and following up relentlessly. Door-to-door experience across roofing, telecommunications, energy, and home improvement.

High-ticket closing · One-call close · Objection handling · Negotiation · Pipeline follow-up
03 / DIGITAL ACQUISITION

Advertising he runs himself

Hands-on operator — not an executive who supervises an agency. Google Ads (campaign structure, keyword and search-intent targeting, geographic targeting, ad copy, negative keywords, conversion tracking, bid strategy), Google Local Services Ads, Meta and Facebook Ads (creative, audiences, retargeting, conversion offers), and Google Business Profile optimization, review strategy, and local positioning.

04 / AI & AUTOMATION

AI as an operating system

Uses AI to run a business, not just to write. Builds AI receptionists, AI email-response agents, website and SMS chatbots, structured knowledge bases, and multi-agent workflows that qualify leads, book appointments, recover missed calls, reactivate old customers, and generate reviews — then measures them strictly on revenue and efficiency.

Claude · Codex · OpenAI · Grok · OpenClaw · Multi-agent workflows · Prompt engineering
05 / CRM & SYSTEMS

The follow-up machine

Deep GoHighLevel experience: CRM setup, pipelines and lead stages, workflows and triggers, email and SMS automation, appointment systems, lead routing, missed-call text-back, customer reactivation, review workflows, funnel infrastructure, sub-accounts, and AI integration. Also JobTread for contractor operations. Built from a closer's understanding of exactly where companies lose leads.

GoHighLevel · JobTread · Pipelines · Email/SMS · Missed-call recovery · Reactivation
06 / WEB & APP DEVELOPMENT

Digital infrastructure, built in-house

Business websites, landing pages, funnels, lead-capture pages, and SaaS interfaces — plus functional business applications conceived, architected, built, tested, and deployed with modern AI-assisted development. Not a traditionally trained engineer; an executive who can personally build what the business needs when buying it doesn't make sense.

Base44 · Supabase · Vercel · APIs · MCP integrations · AI-assisted development
07 / GOVERNMENT & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Public-sector and large-project work

Has completed many government remodeling contracts and numerous multi-six-figure projects, including full home additions. Understands the procurement process end to end: opportunity research, solicitation and scope review, bid/no-bid decisions, proposal strategy, pricing evaluation, competitive positioning, and compliance-oriented business development.

08 / RESTORATION & CONSTRUCTION

Field credibility, certified

IICRC certified in Applied Microbial Remediation, Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, and Fire & Smoke Restoration. HAAG Certified Residential Roof Inspector. EPA Lead-Safe certified. Completed Texas TDLR Mold Remediation Contractor training. Personally participated in roofing installations, estimating, inspections, and production management — he understands what the crew is experiencing because he has been the crew.

How He Operates

Decide fast. Execute faster. Adjust honestly.

Joshua's defining executive trait is velocity — the speed between recognizing a problem and having a decision in motion. He does not need extended deliberation once the key facts are clear, even when the decision involves significant money, people, or organizational structure.

1

Identify the problem

Name what is actually wrong — not the symptom, the cause.

2

Gather the important facts

Enough to decide well. Not enough to stall.

3

Determine the best path

Weigh the realistic options, including the unconventional ones.

4

Make the decision

Including the unpopular one, if it's the right one.

5

Implement immediately

Strategy to execution the same day, not the next quarter.

6

Measure

Real numbers — revenue, leads, cost, production.

7

Adjust rapidly

New information changes the plan. Ego doesn't get a vote.

Under Pressure

Sound judgment when everything is on fire.

Years of ownership meant carrying all of the following at the same time — and still making good decisions. He considers this one of his strongest abilities, and it is not theoretical.

PayrollCash flowEmployeesCustomersSalesProductionAdvertisingSubcontractorsSchedulingCustomer disputesLegal disputesHiring & firingTechnologyBusiness survival
Critical Thinking

He doesn't accept "that's how it's done."

Conventional wisdom, vendor recommendations, existing processes, and so-called best practices all get the same question: is this actually producing the outcome? Root-cause analysis, challenging assumptions, examining downstream consequences, and rebuilding processes when necessary. When an existing solution is too expensive, too slow, or simply doesn't work, he finds another way — which is exactly how he became capable in marketing, AI, websites, automation, and government contracting in the first place.

Leadership Style

Direct. Candid. Accountable.

A straight shooter who does not avoid necessary conflict. If an employee is underperforming, a project is failing, or a process is losing money, it gets addressed — early and directly. He believes every employee should know what is expected of them, how success is measured, where they stand, what authority they have, and what the consequences are. Leaders should train people properly, give them the tools to succeed, hold them accountable, reward performance, develop strong people, and remove chronic underperformance.

Communication

Comfortable in front of the room.

Regularly leads meetings and delivers presentations to groups of thirty or more — communicating strategy, explaining organizational change, training in groups, and handling live questions without a script. The same directness carries into sales presentations, recruiting, and difficult one-on-one conversations.

Systems & Documentation He Built

The business ran on paper he wrote.

Growth to $6 million a year doesn't happen on instinct alone. Joshua designed, implemented, trained, and enforced the operating documentation that let a door-to-door start scale into an organization of roughly 40 people a day.

  • Standard operating procedures — written, rolled out, trained, and enforced across sales, production, and administration.
  • Hiring documentation and employment contracts — the paperwork and process behind 120+ people hired, managed, or let go.
  • Onboarding processes — structured first days and first weeks for new hires and new managers.
  • Training processes and timelines — for sales representatives, project managers, and production managers, with milestones and deadlines.
  • KPI development, production, and enforcement — performance metrics tied to revenue, production, and accountability; built, put into daily use, and enforced.
  • Terminations — a disciplined, documented process when standards were not met.
The Operating Creed

Tell the truth.Understand the problem.Make the decision.Move fast.Implement. Measure. Adjust.Hold people accountable.Use technology where it creates leverage.Keep executing.

Artificial Intelligence, Applied

An operator who can actually implement AI inside a business.

Not a Fortune 500 "Head of AI." Something rarer and more useful: a revenue and operations executive who personally designs, builds, and deploys AI systems — and judges them by what they do to the P&L.

Systems he has built

  • AI receptionists — respond to inbound leads instantly, answer FAQs, gather customer information, qualify, schedule, book appointments, follow up, and route to the right person across website, SMS, and voice.
  • AI email agents — reply using company-specific knowledge, reference the knowledge base, answer customer questions, route inquiries, and automate repetitive communication.
  • Knowledge bases — structured company documentation, policies, products, services, pricing, and procedures that let AI agents answer accurately instead of generically.
  • Lead-response and follow-up automation — missed-call text-back, speed-to-lead sequences, long-tail nurture, customer reactivation, and review generation, wired into the CRM.
  • Multi-agent workflows — AI agents coordinating across content, documentation, marketing, and development tasks with defined roles and hand-offs.
  • HomePro Defender — an AI-enabled business and legal-process workflow platform for Texas contractors, born from firsthand experience with unpaid invoices, change orders, disputes, evidence, deadlines, and documentation. (Not legal advice; a workflow product.)
  • HomePro Brand Builder — an ecosystem combining marketing, websites, AI, CRM, automation, and customer acquisition into one system for home-services businesses.
  • HomePro Quick Estimator — voice-to-text AI estimating for contractors, plus related product concepts.

Platforms and stack

  • Models and assistants — Claude, OpenAI / ChatGPT, Codex, Grok, OpenClaw, and multi-agent development environments.
  • Build and deploy — Base44, Supabase, Vercel, APIs, MCP integrations, AI-assisted coding.
  • Operations — GoHighLevel and JobTread for CRM, pipelines, automation, and contractor workflows.
  • Acquisition — Google Ads, Google Local Services Ads, Meta Ads, Google Business Profile, landing pages, funnels, and remarketing.
  • Capabilities — prompt engineering, AI workflow design, agent design, document analysis, content generation, marketing automation, application development, and product packaging and pricing.

Why it matters to an employer: the insight behind every one of these systems came from selling. He knows precisely where organizations lose revenue — leads not contacted fast enough, never nurtured, never reactivated, or mishandled by salespeople — because he has watched it happen from both sides of the desk. The AI is the leverage; the sales judgment is the point.
